Houston Music Teacher Association was established in September 1941. Our organization is affiliated with Texas Music Teacher Association and Music Teachers National Association. We are a professional organization of music teachers dedicated to the promotion of the art of music and the advancement of musical knowledge throughout the Greater Houston, Texas area. We are a non-profit agency according to the statutes of the State of Texas
and has 501 (c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.
